Discussions of the Biogas Methane
Methane that is produced from biologically formed organic material is known as Biogas methane. This term is used more often now-a-days to differentiate it from methane derived from fossil fuel which is known as ‘natural gas’. Natural gas is produced from mineral reserves and also in coal mines. Therefore biogas methane refers to ‘green’, ‘renewable’ methane when compared to natural gas which when combusted adds to greenhouse effect.
Apart from biogas methane there exist other forms of methane too that also are not mineral gas created and their origin could be natural. They are:
• Naturally created gas in organic marine silts and peat bogs.
• Naturally produced in stomachs of ruminating animals during digestion
• Biogas produced in farm slurry tanks etc. during the time when farmers keep it waiting for dry times which would allow them to spread it on their fields.
• Landfill gas which is formed during anaerobic decomposition in landfills.
Being twenty times more powerful than CO2 in taking up heat from sun and adding to global warming any source of methane emission is dangerous to nature. It is through anaerobic digestion that large masses of biomass fed to digester is converted into methane biogas, CO2, hydrogen, other gases in trace and some heat with Nitrogen rich final products. In the digester anaerobic bacteria are exposed to feedstock on which they multiply and break down complex organic compounds into much simpler soluble products and produce energy – rich biogas. This gas is used in combustion engines for motive power / electricity production.
The technology of Methane biogas is a renewable energy technology which utilizes different kinds of biomass like animal dung, crop waste etc. and modifies it into gas containing 70% methane through anaerobic digestion by microbes. This gas is a very rich energy source.
Natural gas can be replaced with methane biogas in all the purposes for which it is used and it can also be used as the renewable equivalent of LNG also. The only problem with biogas methane is it needs to be scrubbed / cleaned before using it as an alternative for natural gas to avoid corrosion.

Cellulosic Biofuel
Energy sources are something without which we cannot live on this planet. To do any sort of work we need one or the other form of energy source. But nowadays we all know that there is a crisis of energy sources as the existing energy resources are on the verge of extinction due to over exploitation. So we need to have an energy source which can be replenished at a very fast rate.
One such source is biofuel. Biomass fuels are the alternative energy resources which can be replenished easily. Biofuels is nothing but the fuel generated from organic plant matter. Biofuels which are usually based on ethyl alcohol and are obtained from corn and Biomass Energy Pros and Cons.
In general form we extract biofuel from vegetable oil, grease etc but Cellulosic biofuel is a relatively new concept in this field. Cellulosic biofuels are one of the best energy sources as compared to other energy sources. We all know for energy source we need to burn carbon.
Even for the internal energy of our body we burn the carbon present in the food we eat. Cellulose is very much rich in carbon content and that is what makes it a good and efficient energy resource. It can also be said that cellulose is the abundant form of carbon which can be easily found in plant matter without the necessity of water or land.
Cellulose is also termed as polysaccharide which is a form of six sugar carbon polymer. If you notice, then it can be found that cellulose is present in abundance on the earth surface and that is the reason of such popularity of biofuel. However the limitation which we are still facing is the conversion process which is very laborious as it takes early 50 long hours for the conversion of sugar to energy. Research is on the go to find out a solution for this problem. We also need to improve the enzyme efficiency because it is the enzyme which converts cellulose into energy in many animals.

Different Types of Bio Fuels
The biofuels are those fuels that are produced from plants of any kinds. This is basically different to fossil fuels which are produced from fossilized materials.
Hemp Biofuels are basically generated from the hemp seeds that are usually harvested as a result of using a robust hemp variety. And these seeds will be usually converted into biofuels. Such biofuels contains several advantages rather than conventional fuels.
First factor is that it can be produced locally. This will create employment in such rural areas and it reduced the need for transportation. Bio-Fuel-Cells are also important for efficient transfer for any fuel into electricity where it suits many applications. But it is important to put things in mind that societies do not live on fuels or energy alone.
Ethanol is basically produced from molasses which is a byproduct of sugar. Molasses is either used in production of ethanol or picked up by the breweries. Ethanol is produced by fermenting and distilling starch crops that is converted into simple sugars since ethanol is an alcohol-based fuel. There are about 17% of the energy which is used to produce ethanol that is coming from liquid fuels like gasoline and diesel fuel.
Biofuels are the source of clean energy. However, some of the experts say that the country of Brazil is cutting down most of its rain forest to plant sugar cane to produce ethanol.
Biodiesel is typically mixed at about 20% with petroleum diesel. It is used by vehicles fleets. Biodiesel utilizes the amount of carbon which naturally circulates between the atmosphere as well as the biosphere so it does not add any carbon.
In the process of biomass, it results in the ends products of biochemical, biopower and biofuels that can be used as fuel sources. The biochemical converts biomass into chemical just to produce electricity. The biopower convert into a gaseous fuel just to generate electric power. Lastly, the biofuels are biomass which is converted into liquids just for transportation. Biomass Energy Pros is somehow nothing more than those materials that were presently living organisms. Thus it is a renewable energy source. But still there and many Biomass Energy Cons.
